September 2, 2024
Dear Pine Glen Panthers Families,
On behalf of the staff at Pine Glen Public School, I am thrilled to welcome you and your family to the 2024-2025 school year! We are eager to work with you to support your child’s education and well-being throughout the year.
First Day of School
The first day of school for SK to Grade 8 students is Tuesday, September 3rd. JK students will follow a staggered entry schedule, attending one day during the first week, as communicated by their classroom teachers.
Supervision on the yard begins at 8:20 a.m. Please ensure your child does not arrive before this time, as we cannot guarantee safety without staff supervision. Students will enter through the gate and proceed to the playground. Kindergarten students will remain within their designated fenced area for safety.

Attention: School Office Closure
The school office will be closed from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM to allow our amazing secretary to enjoy a lunch break. During this time, please feel free to leave messages, and we will attend to them as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding!
Absences and Late Arrivals
If your child will be absent or arriving late, please call our Safe Arrival Line at 705-789-4791 and leave a message. This helps us ensure your child’s safety.
Visitor Policy
We ask that visitors minimize their time in the school during instructional hours. If you need to drop something off or if your child is arriving late, please call the school or use the buzzer to alert our school secretary. Proceed directly to the office and avoid going down hallways or toward classrooms unless signed in with permission.
Communication
For any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s teacher first. If you need additional support, I am always here to assist.
We are excited to start the new school year and look forward to a wonderful year with your child!
Sincerely,
Debbie Thompson
Principal
