On February 13, King Albert Public School (KAPS) held a Kindness Festival to spread the word on the importance of being kind and to build stronger relationships with parents/guardians and the community.
Students and families had the opportunity to visit a number of different stations, including making hearts at a craft table, kindness cookies, happiness hopscotch, and friendship bracelets.
Community partners were also invited to participate in the Kindness Festival and have booths for families to learn what community supports are available to them. Thank you to the following partners in attendance: The Boys and Girls Club of Kawartha Lakes, CHIMO Youth & Family Services, the KAPS Parent Council, and the City of Kawartha Lakes Public Library.
